How Did Pretty Natural Transition her hair?

In college many women worked, went to school, played sports, in extra curricular activities and we didn’t have hairstylist nor did a lot of people know how to do hair and take care of it.  That’s when I decided to transition back to my natural hair.  I would walk around campus and see many women transitioning.  I finally did the TWA big chop and figured out how to manage my hair first dealing with two diff textures until I was ready to chop it off!  This has been one of the absolute best decisions for me because I no longer had to perm my hair, go through a burning process and then wash and style my hair all to hit the basketball court and sweat it out.   I went through several short phases but doing so made me embrace who I see in the mirror!  I would play with my hair and try different products to determine what works best for my texture.  I discovered the true mean of Pretty Natural the moment I cut the remaining perm off of my head.  This was a life changing experience and I am so thankful I discovered myself without a relaxer.  I am Pretty Natural!
